These simple minced beef recipes make great midweek meals that can easily be cooked from scratch. Most of these take under 30 minutes to cook.

We use mostly frozen vegetables as it means we can use as much as we want and it’s pre-cut which means less chopping. Canned vegetables would work perfect too.

1. Spaghetti Bolognese

This is the best family-friendly spaghetti bolognese recipe that can be made in the slow cooker or in a wok or deep pan. It’s really easy for beginners to cook and can be made in advance if you are short of time.

Homemade beef burgers are really simple and cheap to make. These one’s taste better than any takeaway and you can add whatever spice or extras to the middle your family like.

3. Spaghetti Meatballs

This spaghetti meatball recipe comes in at just 73p per person for a family of four. This spaghetti meatball recipe is so easy to cook and is great if you are a beginner cook looking for something gorgeous that the whole can eat.

5. Easy Mince Tacos

Beef mince tacos make a great weekend fakeaway meal that is perfect for the whole family and really cheap to make. Minced beef tacos are really easy to make and can be as spicy or not as you like.

This is comfort food heaven! You do need to make the white sauce and the tomato sauce first then layer it all up and cook for 20 minutes in the oven until the cheese is cooked.

7. Spaghetti mince

This delicious spaghetti mince recipe can be made from items you have in your store cupboard and fridge. Cook the spaghetti first, and while it’s boiling cook the mince until most of it is brown. Then add the chili flakes, garlic, and canned tomatoes. You may have to add some water. Boil it off for around 20 minutes until it is reduced then mix in the spaghetti and grate the cheese on top.
