Hi! I’m Laura. I’m a South coast-based freelance writer and editor – and a mum of two girls, Holly, 5, and Abigail, 3. I started Savings 4 Savvy Mums in January 2017 and it has grown into an award-nominated money blog with a solid engaged audience, covering family finance, budget recipe ideas and ways to save money as a modern day mum.
In my career, I’ve worked as a Creative Director at a large marketing agency and produced campaigns for brands such as Apple, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Curry's PC World, and now work as a freelance writer and virtual assistant for a range of small to medium businesses. I combine this with writing this blog and working on large brand campaigns.
Savings 4 Savvy Mums has appeared in The Telegraph, Mail Online, The Sun, Closer magazine, AOL.com, The Daily Echo and in The Mirror.
I’ve appeared on radio, talking about ways to save money as a mum and tricks on how to save when you have no extra money.
My articles, budget recipes, money saving tips and interviews have appeared in numerous newspapers, magazines and websites, and I've worked with a wide range of brands, all, with a money saving family spin.
I’m so honoured to have been shortlisted for some great awards. I’ve been chosen as Netmums' Blog Of The Week three times and Mumsnet’s Blog Of The Day a number of times.
I was a finalist in the prestigious SHOMO 2017 Awards, in the Readers Choice and Best Money and Parent Blog.
Savings 4 Savvy Mums receives an average of 6,000 page views a month and is currently in the top 800 UK parenting blogs according to Tots100. I’ve got a Twitter following of over 1,000 and an Instagram following of over 800.
Consistently ranked as one of the top UK money blogs, the S4SM brand has grown from strength to strength in 2017. S4SM reaches approximately 6,000 to 18,000 people a week on social media, with a 86% female audience aged between 18 and 45.
