My 5 Top Tips for Saving Money When Eating Out with Kids

1. Avoid fizzy drinks: They really do add up and fill you up. Stick to tap water, meaning you have more cash for your meal and less gas in your stomach, meaning the kids will eat more and snack less.

2. Going to places that offer free salad is a winner. That way the kids fill up on that on their main meal and are less likely to want dessert.

3. Use voucher codes. Sites like Savoo and Voucherbox are fab for getting cheap meals.

4. Check the menu beforehand so you know what you’re ordering. It’s well known that you buy more when you’re hungry, so walking in knowing what you’re all having can save you loads.

5. Sign up for every newsletter to receive their latest offers and use cashback sites like Quidco and Top Cashback before you leave.

I will keep adding to this list if I find any more. Please remember to read the fine print!

Boring stuff: We recommend checking with each restaurant for the full terms and conditions of any offer you’d like to use, checking for information on which restaurants may or may not be participating in the offer, plus time/day specifications.
